Monitor USB Power in Production Testing with the Beagle USB 480 Power Protocol Analyzer.
Members of the Total Phase team had the opportunity to spend much of April visiting with our customers both in their places of work and at industry events. Interestingly, there seemed to be a common challenge engineers are facing again and again - power consumption over USB. Multiple customers discussed problems at the manufacturing test stage where the USB ports on their device were shutting down and devices were resetting during iterations of various QA tests. This common issue was met with inability to determine the cause of the current overdraw on the USB bus – until we introduced the Beagle USB 480 Power Protocol Analyzer.

I have used the Beagle Series of USB protocol analyzers for both professional and recreational purposes for about a year. I have found them to be quite easy to get up and running and at the same time powerful enough for in-depth debugging of USB systems.
