Communicate with Your I2C System at The Highest Throughput Speeds Ever!

Take Advantage of the Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter Trade-Up Program.

Did you know the Promira™ Serial Platform offers improved throughput over USB compared to theAardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter? The Promira platform has a high-speed USB port, compared to the Aardvark adapter's full-speed connection. In addition the Promira platform features a pipelined architecture that allows for queuing of commands.

The Aardvark adapter sends one command at a time and incurs delays waiting for a response from the host PC. Now with the Promira platform you can issue multiple I2C commands back-to-back without delays waiting for a system response. This means faster throughput and better emulation with your system.

Total Phase is offering customers a unique opportunity to trade-up eligible Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapters and receive a coupon to be used towards the purchase of any combination of applications with a Promira Serial Platform. Get more information

Monitor USB Power in Production Testing with the Beagle USB 480 Power Protocol Analyzer.

Members of the Total Phase team had the opportunity to spend much of April visiting with our customers both in their places of work and at industry events. Interestingly, there seemed to be a common challenge engineers are facing again and again - power consumption over USB. Multiple customers discussed problems at the manufacturing test stage where the USB ports on their device were shutting down and devices were resetting during iterations of various QA tests. This common issue was met with inability to determine the cause of the current overdraw on the USB bus – until we introduced the Beagle USB 480 Power Protocol Analyzer.

The Beagle USB 480 Power Protocol Analyzer is ideally suited to address this type of challenge. The Beagle USB 480 Power analyzer combines the ability to monitor USB traffic in real-time with the capability to track current and voltage readings on the VBUS. Using the Data Center Software, users can correlate anomalies, such as current overdraw, on the VBUS with data being sent across the USB bus. The analyzer provides insight into what caused the system to malfunction and how to fix the production test or improve product design. For more information visit theBeagle USB 480 Power Protocol Analyzer product page.

Spotlight: The Beagle I2C/SPI Protocol Analyzer

I have used the Beagle Series of USB protocol analyzers for both professional and recreational purposes for about a year. I have found them to be quite easy to get up and running and at the same time powerful enough for in-depth debugging of USB systems.
